Who We Are
Most at Risk Young Mothers and Teenage Girls Living with HIV Initiative (MOYOTE)is a registered public benefit organization(PBO) dedicated to creating safe spaces that provide access to non-judgment health care information and services and access to justice for young mothers and teenage girls living with and affected by HIV and other threats. MOYOTE also focuses on enhancing livelihoods and promoting sustainable food systems for young people impacted by HIV, TB, gender-based violence, drug abuse, teenage pregnancy, and poverty.
Founded in 2011 by courageous young women and girls as a support group for those facing HIV and social challenges like GBV, drug abuse, and poverty, MOYOTE evolved into a community-based organization (CBO) in 2014 and achieved PBO status in 2024. Today, the organization boasts a wide network of members, associates, and partners, collaborating nationally, regionally, and internationally.

To provide access quality access to health care services to most at risk young mothers and teenagers girl, access to justice and social economic empowerment through inclusive partnerships with the government, partners and community.
Objectives
- Promote Human Rights and Holistic Empowerment
- Sustain advocacy for human rights, focusing on the holistic empowerment of girls, children, and men by providing education, support, and resources to foster equality and well-being.
- Enhance Social and Economic Empowerment
- Implement reliable and sustainable strategies for the social and economic empowerment of community members through skill-building, access to resources, and community-driven initiatives.
Improve Health Awareness and Interventions
- Create an enabling environment for health awareness, particularly in HIV, Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), and non-communicable diseases, through preventive care, education, and community engagement
- .Combat Gender-Based Violence
- Provide accessible information and training on gender-based violence, addressing its various forms, prevention strategies, and available support measures to empower victims and reduce incidence rates.
- Support Sustainable Agricultural Practice
- Train farmers in the use of technology, fertilizers, and improved farm management practices to increase agricultural productivity and address the challenges of climate change.
