NGAAF & Cooperative Partnerships

Strengthening Community Resilience and Economic Empowerment

The National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF) and various cooperative partners supported MOYOTE’s efforts to strengthen the economic resilience and financial independence of vulnerable women and girls.

What We Did

  • Implemented targeted economic empowerment and business start-up initiatives.

  • Supported community table-banking activities and micro-savings groups.

  • Worked alongside cooperative partners to develop sustainable, grassroots economic solutions.

Key Achievements

  • Enabled women to significantly strengthen their savings and access financial opportunities that were previously out of reach.

  • Complemented existing health, livelihood, and social protection interventions with tangible financial education and tools.

Lasting Impact These partnerships helped vulnerable communities develop sustainable solutions to severe economic challenges. By fostering financial independence, women and girls were able to build more sustainable livelihoods, greatly reducing their vulnerability to poverty and subsequent gender-based violence.
