Partnership Spotlight: Family Hope Charity Comprehensive Health, Nutrition, and Social Protection

With support from Family Hope Charity, MOYOTE implemented integrated health and social support interventions for infants, young children, adolescents, women, and households affected by HIV and other vulnerabilities. This greatly expanded access to essential health services for communities living in informal settlements.

What We Did

• Provided sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) services alongside HIV-related services for children and adolescents.

• Delivered robust nutrition support for children affected by malnutrition, as well as critical antenatal and postnatal care.

• Provided treatment support, palliative care, and follow-up for non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

• Facilitated Social Health Authority (SHA) registration and managed contributions to help vulnerable community members access consistent health insurance.

• Organized quarterly community medical camps and established direct referrals to appropriate health facilities.

Key Achievements

• Reached more than 3,700 individuals with essential health, nutrition, and community-based support.

• Successfully reduced financial barriers to healthcare by helping eligible vulnerable beneficiaries secure and pay for SHA health insurance coverage.

• Provided multivitamins and essential nutritional supplements for vulnerable infants and children.

• Supported the most vulnerable children with dedicated education support and resources.

Lasting Impact Through this partnership, vulnerable families have gained reliable access to comprehensive healthcare, nutrition, and social protection. The project has durably helped women and girls overcome financial and systemic barriers to healthcare while strengthening the overall community-based health infrastructure.
